Our Story

Kanaloa is a small local and family-owned business.

In 2020 Keva and Rykelle were in the car with their Grandma (Laura) and talking about what summer job to get. Rykelle suggested a snow cone shack, and right away Grandma said "Let's start our snow cone shack!" Keva went home and researched all night and the very next day Keva and Rykelle presented their grandma with a PowerPoint explaining exactly how they would do it (we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into!!). Kanaloa was a pre-owned company that the 3 of us bought, and revamped. Since then the shack has been fully remodeled, menus revamped, many new business ideas brought in, a second location has been opened, and all in all, has been a great experience for all of us. Our whole staff is composed of cousins and close family friends and has been a great opportunity for our family members of all ages to learn a little more about the food service industry! We crazy appreciate every customer, and you helping us continue to stay open for many more generations to come!
